Come on out and enjoy a fun night at the Fall Carnival!  There will be a cake walk, crafts, and lots of games/activities!  Each room event will only cost 1 or 2 tickets!  Each ticket is $1.00.

EBS Collected 1,227 boxes of stuffing!! Stuffing_collected

East Bernstadt School, in coordination with community organizations and schools in Laurel County, collected food basket items for families in need. They were asked to collect stuffing mix. Thanks to the parents, students and staff at East Bernstadt, the school was able to collected 1,227 boxes of stuffing! We would also like to thank the EB SWAT Youth Leadership Council (see photo) and FRYSC for collecting and organizing all                                         donations!

BRING IN THE STUFFING!- Community Food Drive for Thanksgiving Baskets Thanksgiving

Schools in Laurel County are collecting food basket items for families in need!  You can help!  The item for EBIS baskets is stuffing mix, such as Stove Top or store brand mix.  Items will be organized and counted by the EB SWAT Leadership Council before October 25th.  A pizza or ice cream party goes to the classroom with the most collected items!  


We will sell ice cream on Tuesdays and Thursdays for $1.00.

Auggie and Jalynn were elected East Bernstadt Middle School 8th grade prom Prince and Princess on May 11th.

5th Graders Constructed a Rubix Cube Mosaic MLK_mosaic

Mrs. VanHook's 5th grade class participated in the Rubix Cube lending program and constructed a mosaic of Martin Luther King Jr. out of 225 Rubix Cubes.  Swing by the library to check it out!!

East Bernstadt has earned the 5 STAR rating level due to the evidence which has been presented in the areas of Family and Community Engagement, Classroom and Instructional Quality, Staff Qualifications and PD, and Administrative and Leadership Practices.

National Day of Action Against School Violence- April 20th Blue and Orange

Administrators, teachers, and staff wore blue and orange in honor of Marshall County High School and joined in the National Day of Action Against School Violence on April 20th.

The EBS Elementary Academic Team earned 3rd place overall District winners, 3rd place Future Problem Solving, and the Sportsmanship Award at the District Governors Cup hosted by our school on Saturday, February 10th.

Congratulations to Ellie Adams for winning the school 2018 AARP Grandparent Essay Contest.  She won a gift card.  She also is the overall Laurel County winner!  Her essay now goes to the state level.  We are so proud of her.

  • School will be in session on March 28th.  We have missed 18 days and this will give us one additional day before KPREP.  Spring Break will not be affected.  The last day for students (as of now) is May 30th and the closing day of school will be June 2nd.  Please inform your students that we are aiming for a high attendance day on March 28th.  Plan activities to encourage them to  come that day.  Thank you.

The East Bernstadt Dance Teams participated in the Big Blue Cheer/Dance Challenge at North Laurel High School on January 11th. The elementary team received 1st place in both  the Pom and Hip Hop divisions and the Middle School Team placed 1st in Prop Division and 2nd in the Pom Division.

Jordan Brock Chosen to Participate in Rogers Explorers Program.

It is an intensive three day, two night program focusing on developing skills in leadership, technology, entrepreneurship, and community service.  All lodging, meals, and program expenses are free to the student.  Only 120 students were chosen to participate in this program.  This is an outstanding accomplishment for Jordan!
