Schools in Laurel County are collecting food basket items for families in need! You can help! The item for EBIS baskets is stuffing mix, such as Stove Top or store brand mix. Items will be organized and counted by the EB SWAT Leadership Council before October 25th. A pizza or ice cream party goes to the classroom with the most collected items!
We will sell ice cream on Tuesdays and Thursdays for $1.00.

Jack McArdle earned 464.8 AR points and Joseph Doyle earned 342.2 AR points this school year! They each received a $100 gift card!
Auggie and Jalynn were elected East Bernstadt Middle School 8th grade prom Prince and Princess on May 11th.
Mrs. VanHook's 5th grade class participated in the Rubix Cube lending program and constructed a mosaic of Martin Luther King Jr. out of 225 Rubix Cubes. Swing by the library to check it out!!
East Bernstadt has earned the 5 STAR rating level due to the evidence which has been presented in the areas of Family and Community Engagement, Classroom and Instructional Quality, Staff Qualifications and PD, and Administrative and Leadership Practices.
Administrators, teachers, and staff wore blue and orange in honor of Marshall County High School and joined in the National Day of Action Against School Violence on April 20th.

Reserve your copy now by completing this form and returning it to your homeroom teacher. You must reserve your yearbook; we will not be ordering any additional yearbooks this year.
Congratulations to Eli Holt for placing 2nd in the elementary boys’ archery division and Kylee Napier for placing 3rd in the elementary girls’ division. Both advance to the state tournament in Louisville on March 31st.
The EBS Elementary Academic Team earned 3rd place overall District winners, 3rd place Future Problem Solving, and the Sportsmanship Award at the District Governors Cup hosted by our school on Saturday, February 10th.

Madison Tarvin won the Laurel County Spelling Bee at South Laurel Middle School on Tuesday, January 23rd, and she will now compete in the state spelling bee on March 17th in Louisville!
Congratulations to Ellie Adams for winning the school 2018 AARP Grandparent Essay Contest. She won a gift card. She also is the overall Laurel County winner! Her essay now goes to the state level. We are so proud of her.
Officer Kenny Jones and Magen Zawko with the London City Police Department presented a drug prevention program on Friday, October 27th of Red Ribbon Week.
