We're Here To Help!
The Family Resource Youth Service Center (FRYSC) has been created as a part of the Kentucky Education Reform Act (KERA). The FRYSC is another way that the East Bernstadt Independent School provides services to enhance the students' ability to succeed in school. Parents and teachers agree that it is extremely difficult for children to be successful in school when their families face so many problems. Our Family Resource Youth Service Center has been established to assist our children and their families with these problems by providing direct services or by linking families with other resources in the community. Who Can Use Our Services? The East Bernstadt FRYSC receives a state grant based on the number of students eligible for free school meals. However, once the center was established at East Bernstadt, all enrolled children and their families could use its services regardless of family income. Each school year, center personnel are responsible for obtaining continuation funds, again based on the number of free lunch students within the school. Where is The Resource Center? The FRYSC is located at 446 East Hwy. 3094, East Bernstadt, KY 40729. Who Runs The Center? Our center is run by a full-time coordinator and an assistant who oversees the Center's daily activities. An Advisory Council made up of parents, community leaders, school personnel, and students provides input into the Center's operations. What Services Are Provided? We are here to assist children and their families in any way we can. Listed below are only a few of our services.
