KEA's 2023 #differencemakers Art Contest Winner- Annabelle Green

Back in January, Mrs. Costello advertised an artwork contest for students- KEA’s 2023 #differencemakers Art Contest. Students who entered the contest had to draw a portrait of an educator that has made a difference for them.


Annabelle Green entered and won in her age group against students across Kentucky!  She was awarded $50!

Excellence in Teaching Award

Floyd & Nantz

Mrs. Connie Floyd (Elementary Teacher) and Mrs. Karen Nantz (Middle School Teacher) have been chosen by their fellow teachers to receive the Campbellsville University Excellence in Teaching Award at East Bernstadt Independent School.  The purpose of this award is to recognize quality teaching in Kentucky schools and to strengthen the field of education. It provides statewide recognition to outstanding individuals for their leadership and dedication to the teaching profession. Implicit in the award is the expectation that the recipients’ examples may inspire all teachers to excel.

In addition to recognition and an awards ceremony, recipients will receive a personalized certificate.

Alisa Houchens- 2023 PACE Setter Award

East Bernstadt Independent School is pleased to announce that Alisa Houchens has been selected for the 2023 PACE Setter Award out of hundreds of speech therapists across KY and was recognized on Friday, Feb. 17th at the KSHA annual conference.  Mrs. Houchens was nominated by Cristin Chadwell, Director of Special Education for this prestigious award due to her continued hard work, attention to detail with all the paperwork and testing, and the love she has for her profession.  She always goes above and beyond for our students and school.      

 

The KSHA PACE Setter award honors Speech/Language Therapists who demonstrates exemplary service to the profession. A PACE Setter exemplifies KSHA’S mission to set the pace in Professional Development, Advocacy, Collaboration and Education. KSHA PACE Setters care about those they serve and enhance the image of the profession in a positive, meaningful way.
