East Bernstadt Independent School is pleased to announce that Alisa Houchens has been selected for the 2023 PACE Setter Award out of hundreds of speech therapists across KY and was recognized on Friday, Feb. 17th at the KSHA annual conference. Mrs. Houchens was nominated by Cristin Chadwell, Director of Special Education for this prestigious award due to her continued hard work, attention to detail with all the paperwork and testing, and the love she has for her profession. She always goes above and beyond for our students and school.
The KSHA PACE Setter award honors Speech/Language Therapists who demonstrates exemplary service to the profession. A PACE Setter exemplifies KSHA’S mission to set the pace in Professional Development, Advocacy, Collaboration and Education.
