Hello everyone!

My name is Mrs. Kellie Smoak and I am a First Grade teacher here at East Bernstadt Elementary School. Your students will be my fourth group of first graders! To say that teaching is my passion is an understatement! I am beyond blessed to be teaching at this school alongside so many other wonderful and supportive staff members, who all truly care about your child as much as I do.

I grew up in Harlan County and moved to this area for my own schooling. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (K-5) at University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky. In May 2020, I obtained my Master's Degree to become a Literacy Specialist from University of the Cumberlands. I have fallen in love with the London/East Bernstadt area, as my husband and I now permanently live here with our fur babies Gracie, Bailey, and Harley. 

I am so excited to have the opportunity to partner with you and your child to push their learning to their highest potentials this year!
